GeoIngenieria – Lima, Peru, August 24-26
The IGS will be one of three organizations holding parallel conferences at this inaugural congress, with APGEO (Peruvian Association of Geotechnics) and COPEGP (Peruvian Committee of Large Dams).
EuroGeo 7 – Warsaw, Poland, September 19 -22, 2021
The 7th European Geosynthetics Conference welcomes visitors on May 16-19, 2021. Organized by the Polish Chapter of the IGS, expect keynote speakers Drs. Martin Ziegler, Fumio Tatsuoka, Jie Han and Kerry Rowe, as well as a special session delivered by IGS Officers on ‘Geosynthetics in the circular economy: trends, challenges, future actions’.
EUROENGEO – Athens, Greece, October 7-10
Hear Professor Neil Dixon’s keynote lecture on sustainability at the 3rd European Regional Conference of the International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment. Field trip opportunities include the Corinth Canal, Cape Sounion and Santorini island. The winner of the Richard Wolters Prize will also be announced.
GeoAsia7 2021 – Taipei, Taiwan, November 22-26
‘Hazard’s Risk Management, Innovation, and Sustainability’ will be the main theme of the 7th Asian Regional Conference on Geosynthetics. Organized by the Chinese Taipei Chapter of the IGS, the full program, including a Young Engineers Conference, is still being finalized. Stay updated via the event website.

GeoAfrica 2022 – Cairo, Egypt, February 21-24
The Egypt Chapter of the IGS (IGSE) presents the 4th African Regional Conference on Geosynthetics with the theme ‘Geosynthetics in sustainable infrastructures and megaprojects’. Abstract submissions are still being invited, with a new deadline of December 31, 2020.
12th ICG – Rome, Italy, September 18-22
Jointly organized by the Italian Geotechnical Society and the Italian Chapter of the IGS, the 12th International Conference on Geosynthetics will explore topics around ‘Geosynthetics: leading the way to a resilient planet’. The new Giroud Lecture speaker will also give their winning keynote at the event.
