Seventeen candidates are vying for your vote in the latest IGS Council elections.
Six seats are being contested for a chance to join the IGS leadership in this latest ballot cycle. The IGS Council elects around half of its elected seats every two years which allows membership to be rejuvenated while retaining experience.
Successful candidates will serve a four-year term from September 2024 to September 2028.
IGS members and eligible voters should now have received instructions on how to have their say. The IGS has once again engaged independent election management company UK Engage to support the election process following its work in the last Council elections in 2022.
IGS President Sam Allen said: “We have fielded an outstanding range of candidates from a wide geographical area keen to contribute their ideas and experience. The ballot is an important opportunity for members to have their say on the direction and make-up of the IGS leadership, so please cast your vote.”
You can learn more about each candidate via this link and a handy FAQ here explains the ballot process in more detail.
Voting closes at midnight Pacific Daylight Time on Friday, April 12. Any votes received after this time will not be counted. Successful candidates will be announced within a few weeks of the closing date.
