Registration is now open for the 4th International Conference on Transportation Geotechnics (4th ICTG), which will be held as a virtual event on May 24 – 27, 2021 with co-sponsorship by the North American and International Geosynthetic Society.
This ISSMGE Technical Committee 202 sponsored specialty conference aims to apply broad engineering to bridge the gap between Pavement/Railway Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering. It also aims to promote cooperation and exchange of information about the geotechnical aspects in design, construction, maintenance, environmental aspects, and monitoring of roads, railways, airfields, and harbor facilities.
The technical program of 4th ICTG will have significant content on geosynthetics topics; IGS President Chungsik Yoo will deliver a keynote speech on Geosynthetic Solutions for Sustainable Transportation Infrastructure Development – Fundamentals and Global Challenge. Other events include:
-
- A special lecture on Properties Governing the Design of Geosynthetic-stabilized Roadway Bases will be presented by past IGS President Jorge Zornberg
- A full-day pre-conference short course taught on Geosynthetics in Transportation Geotechnics
- More than 34 geosynthetic-themed papers presentations.
Please check the conference website (http://conferences.illinois.edu/ICTG2021/) for more detailed information on the themes and conference events, sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities, and for the preliminary program with a list of accepted papers.
