The IGS has launched a new ‘Did You Know…?’ campaign to drive awareness about sustainability.
Bitesize facts about the green credentials of geosynthetics are being shared on the IGS website and social channels including LinkedIn. The series will show how using geosynthetics supports many of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The social posts contain a link to a longer form article on the IGS website explaining issues in more detail.
The ‘Did You Know…?’ series, which has an eye-catching question mark and light bulb design, has already covered key topics. These are an overview of how geosynthetics contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and how geosynthetics can reduce the reliance on often environmentally-unfriendly aggregates in construction.
The new Sustainability page on the IGS website also contains plenty of extra resources including translated versions of the IGS Sustainability eBook, videos including Dr. Nathalie Touze’s Giroud Lecture ‘Healing the World: A Geosynthetics Solution’, and several white papers.
Please follow the IGS on LinkedIn if you are not already doing so, and like and share the ‘Did You Know…?’ posts to spread the word about sustainability across your network.
