The IGS Foundation (IGSF) celebrates another active year widening access to geosynthetics education in its latest annual report.
Funding geosynthetics testing videos to enable more accessible learning, amplifying its fundraising abilities with a new online payment facility, and improved marketing materials, are just some of the Foundation’s activities over the last year.
Three new members have also joined its Board of Trustees for the 2024 term – Anant Kanoi from India, Yang Baohe from China and Peter Legg from South Africa – boosting the Foundation’s experience and reach.
The IGSF is sister organization to the IGS tasked with improving education and awareness about geosynthetics worldwide and is now in its fourth year of operation. It continues to welcome donations to ensure it can continue to make a worldwide impact and support the needs of the people and projects that benefit from funding.
IGSF Treasurer Boyd Ramsey said: “Please consider giving back to the geosynthetics industry through the IGS Foundation. So many of us have received so much from this industry: good business opportunities and employment, the chance to make a positive contribution to public infrastructure and the environment and many other benefits. Please share some of your resources and help our industry grow and flourish.”
