A German road project which benefited from a greener answer to soil reinforcement is profiled in the latest IGS Sustainability Case Study.
The case history showcases how NAUE’s Secugrid geogrid solution offered a host of environmental and economic benefits when it was used to stabilize earthworks in a new road system in the picturesque town of Idstein. You can read about it here.
The IGS Sustainability Case Study series launched last month with Solmax’s Armormax earth stabilization system and how it helped to strengthen the infrastructure of levees in the Greater New Orleans area in the USA.
The profiles aim to showcase the many ways geosynthetics have achieved more sustainable construction, including which UN Sustainable Development Goals the project has supported. Presented as one-page pdfs, the case studies are also easy to download and share.
Case studies can be accessed via the IGS Sustainability page here as they are released. The site also offers a range of other important resources on sustainability.
