REPEAT TC-Barriers Webinar: GRI-GM13: Test Methods, Properties and Frequency for HDPE Geomembranes – Background and Details of the Latest Revision 2021
About the webinar:
The Geosynthetic Research Institute (GRI) test method GM13 “Test Properties, Testing Frequency and Recommended Warrant for High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Geomembranes” sets forth a set of minimum properties that must be met, or exceeded, by both smooth and textured high density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembranes with a formulated sheet density of 0.941 g/ml, or greater, in the thickness range of 0.75 mm to 3.0 mm upon being manufactured. The specification covers MQC considerations for both smooth and textured HDPE geomembranes. Adopted first in June 17, 1997, GRI GM13 has been through 16 revisions since then including the latest revision in March 2021. This webinar goes through the background of GRI GM13 specifications and discuss different test methods and procedures, and the details of the latest revision in March 2021 on updating Standard OIT Test from ASTM D3895 to D8117.
