Geotechnical Frontiers – Kentucky, USA, March 2-5
The IGS-endorsed event is one of the industry’s premier conferences on geotechnical engineering, co-organized by IGS sister society the Geosynthetic Materials Association, as well as the Advanced Textile Association and American Society of Civil Engineer’s Geo-Institute.

Combining celebrations for IGS Romania’s 35th anniversary next year, the 4th Romanian Conference on Geosynthetics is themed ‘Celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Romanian Geosynthetics Association‘.
It promises a busy technical program as well as anniversary events including a look back on the use of geosynthetic materials in Romania, and the history of IGS Romania from its formation to the present.
GeoAsia 8 – Brisbane, Australia, June 10-13
The Australasian Chapter of the IGS, known as ACigs, will present an exciting programme exploring ‘Geosynthetics: pioneering lasting solutions for the Earth’.
Expect IGS Technical Committee workshops, a dedicated China session showcasing advances in geosynthetics manufacturing and applications, student events and competitions, the Fumio Tatsuoka Lecture, and IGS Regional Service Awards.
EuroGeo 8 – Lille, France, September 15-18
Inclusion, equity and celebrating differences in our industry will be given special focus at the 8th European conference on geosynthetics with an IGS Diversity Committee special session. Plus, attendees can hear the latest LMNS Lecture while students have the chance to get careers advice with members of EAGM (European Association of Geosynthetic product Manufacturers).
Themed ‘Technical challenges and environmental imperatives for the 21st Century’, the event will look at new challenges faced by construction professionals, environmental concerns, and innovation and risk management.
And looking ahead, watch this space for updates on the 13th International Conference on Geosynthetics (ICG) in Montreal in 2026, organized by IGS North America. Themed ‘Legacy, Evolution & Revolution in Geosynthetics’ it will take place on September 13-17, 2026.
