IGS Young Members are being urged to apply for a travel grant supporting their attendance at the forthcoming GeoAsia8 conference.
The 8th Asian Conference on Geosynthetics takes place in Brisbane, Australia, on June 10-13, this year, and will explore the theme ‘Geosynthetics: pioneering lasting solutions for the Earth’.
Hosted by the Australasian Chapter of the IGS, known as ACigs, the event will also feature the Fumio Tatsuoka Lecture, this time given by Professor Chao Xu on ‘Studies and practice of geosynthetic-reinforced soil abutment and integrated bridge systems’.
The IGS Foundation is providing 10 grants of up to $1,000 to help IGS Young Members attend this unmissable event. Those who have travel expenses exceeding $500 are eligible to apply – but be quick as the deadline for submissions closes on April 30.
Launched in 1997, GeoAsia is one of the largest geosynthetics conferences in the region and promises expert insight into geosynthetics, the chance to hear latest research and industry thinking, and a host of networking opportunities.
