Just a few weeks remain to register your interest in hosting one of the region’s flagship geosynthetics conferences.
The 9th Asian Conference on Geosynthetics (GeoAsia9) is set to take place in 2029 – and your Chapter could be setting the agenda. Drawing attendees from around the world, the quadrennial event is a unique opportunity to shine a spotlight on the geosynthetics capabilities, developments and ambitions of your region.
Chapters must register their intent to bid by Monday, November 25, 2024, with full and final bids only needed at a later stage.
Full bidding guidelines for IGS Regional Conferences can be found here. In addition, bidders should demonstrate how they plan to:
- Maximise the diversity of participants, including a wider range of voices from within and beyond the IGS membership.
- Ensure the event is representative of the whole Asia region.
- Include program elements that will appeal to wider industry, for example broader outcomes
- of geosynthetics uses such as sustainability, resilience or economic benefit.
Bidding Chapters may suggest innovations to the format of previous regional conferences.
