The IGS has added another 1,000 followers in the last year to its most popular online channel.
The Society’s digital presence continues to be energised by regular news, member updates and industry developments, ensuring its social channels are an essential part of the global geosynthetics conversation.
But it’s not just on LinkedIn. Visitors have doubled to the IGS website from 24,000 to 48,000 in the last year, with some 100 stories published online over 2023.
Delivering more globally accessible initiatives such as the recent IGS Birthday Week Lectures – a series of exclusive virtual talks and Q&As to mark the Society’s 40th anniversary – has also been key in growing audience and awareness about the IGS around the world.
IGS President Sam Allen said: “We have made extraordinary strides over the last few years in the reach and quality of our communications with our members and the wider industry. Our website is continually updated with relevant, high quality content, including our growing Digital Library, which offers an open-source, trusted wealth of information. Plus, our exclusive new resources including the Sustainability Benefits Calculator, and soon-to-come IGS Handbook and Professional Development Courses, demonstrate you can’t afford not to connect with the IGS!”
