Be the first to hear the IGS’s latest initiatives by attending the important IGS General Assembly at the 12th International Conference on Geosynthetics (12th ICG).
The long-awaited 12th ICG hosted by IGS Italy is less than a month away and promises a fascinating and informative schedule exploring the theme ‘Geosynthetics: leading the way to a resilient planet’.
The IGS’s Officers and Council are looking forward to updating members on the Society’s current and future activity at the General Assembly on Wednesday, September 20, where plans outlined in the recent publication of the IGS Strategy Report 2022-2026 will be explored. Important votes will also be held, and the presentation of a series of IGS Awards. Join colleagues in the Plenary Room at 4.30pm-6.10pm.
The IGS leadership will also be attending several closed meetings over the conference, including those of the IGS Officers, IGS Council, IGS Chapter Presidents, IGS Technical Committees, and IGS Foundation.
Members and delegates may also be interested in attending the IGS Diversity Breakfast on Tuesday, September 19. Here, the newly created Diversity Task Force will present a panel discussion on the Society’s diversity goals and how to address the challenges.
Further highlights from the conference’s main schedule open to all include a Short Courses program, Professor Ennio Palmeira giving the Giroud Lecture, and keynote lectures from high profile experts.
