Reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and odors were among benefits when a lagoon cover was replaced with High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
The project, next in the IGS Sustainability Case Study series, describes Fabtech Australia’s work in Shepparton, Australia, replacing a cover on a wastewater treatment basin to improve methane capture.
Positive gains included better methane harvesting for conversion into clean energy, reduced carbon footprint, and the creation of a more pleasant amenity for residents. You can read the full case history here.
