The IGS Foundation (IGSF) is celebrating another dynamic year creating more opportunities for geosynthetics education worldwide.
Its latest annual report tells of a busy 2022, its third year of operation, where latest initiatives included funding a guide to the IGS Job Shadowing Program, sponsoring student places at the 7th GeoAsia conference, and supporting education and research projects that aim to improve the understanding and application of geosynthetic materials.
The IGSF also celebrated repeat donations from five of its Founding Donors, namely Solmax, TRI Environmental, FR Liners, Demtech and FC Geosynthetics, who have given every year since the Foundation began. The IGSF also reincorporated from Florida to Texas, aligning it with the IGS.
IGSF Treasurer Boyd Ramsey said: “We’re celebrating another energetic and impactful year but none of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors, and special thanks goes to our repeat supporters.
“We enter our fourth year focused on increasing contributions to the Foundation so we can better enable and empower geosynthetics education around the world. If you haven’t engaged with us before, please get in touch, whether it’s to give something back to the industry via a donation or to apply for a grant.”
Formed in 2019, the IGSF aims to support the IGS’s efforts to widen the understanding and use of geosynthetics worldwide.
