Could your chapter be next to host the largest geosynthetics conference in Europe?
The IGS EuroGeo conference series has been stimulating debate and discussion on geosynthetics since 1996, welcoming delegates from around the world as well as distinguished speakers sharing the latest thinking in the industry.
The IGS is now looking for the next chapter to stage EuroGeo8 in 2025. Previous host cities have included Maastricht, Bologna, Munich, Edinburgh, Valencia, and Ljubljana, with EuroGeo7 less than five months away on September 4-7 in Warsaw, Poland.
Bidding guidelines for EuroGeo8 can be found here and you can also get support and advice by contacting Laura Carbone at the IGS European Regional Activities Committee at carbone@huesker.de.
Committee chair Laura Carbone said: “The IGS’s European regional conferences on geosynthetics have made remarkable contributions to the scientific and technological development of geosynthetic products and their associated technologies. “Hosting is a wonderful chance to build on this legacy, leading the conversation on the latest challenges and opportunities in the industry, while putting a chapter city on the global stage.”
Final bids must be submitted to IGS Secretariat Manager Elise Oatman at igssec@geosyntheticssociety.org by June 30, 2022. The winner will be chosen and announced at EuroGeo7 in September.
Good luck!
