The latest exciting aims and achievements of the IGS Foundation (IGSF) have been released in its new annual report.
Highlights over the last year include the addition of 12 new companies and individuals joining fellow Founding Donors such as J.P. Giroud and Solmax. This means nearly $200,000 has been collected in donations so far.
The IGSF’s latest efforts to widen the availability of geosynthetics education has included creating digital versions of the IGS Educate the Educators ‘Introduction to geosynthetics’ lectures. You can hear from its creators in the annual report, and learn what the Foundation has in store for beneficiaries over the next year as well as other disbursements supporting job shadowing, Young Members and other programs.
IGSF Secretary-Treasurer Boyd Ramsey said: “The IGSF was set up in 2019 to amplify the IGS’s education efforts and we are going from strength to strength. We now have an incredible 30 Founding Donors whose generous contributions enabled us to fund innovative education initiatives last year as well as put us in a strong position for the year ahead. We have already made an impact in improving educational opportunities in geosynthetics and invite new donors to join us.”
