Discover the outcomes of comparative studies of geosynthetics and alternative construction materials at a webinar next week.
The UK Chapter of the IGS is jointly hosting the event with the European Association of Geosynthetic Manufacturers (EAGM) on Thursday, April 22, at 6pm GMT.
Henning Ehrenberg, of NAUE GmbH & Co, will speak on ‘Comparative life cycle assessment of geosynthetics versus conventional construction materials’.
Participants will learn the findings of an EAGM study comparing examples of construction projects that used conventional materials with those that used geosynthetics. The results of nine category indicators, for example, Cumulative Energy Demand, comparing construction technologies will also be shared.
Mr Ehrenberg has worked in geosynthetics for more than 30 years, mainly in Quality Management / Quality Assurance and in R&D. He has also been working for more than 15 years in different national and international standardization committees and is leading the EAGM technical working group.
