The IGS network is growing ever stronger with our LinkedIn profile now surpassing 3,000 followers.
Our LinkedIn profile is a key communications channel. It allows us to share IGS news worldwide, in real-time and at low cost. We are able to keep members informed, attract more people to our in-person and virtual events, and encourage debate and discussion about the future of our industry.
It also acts as a stimulus to encourage geosynthetics professionals and academics to connect and interact with fellow followers and share IGS news with their own networks. Recent posts have attracted likes, shares and comments from Europe, the Middle East, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australasia.
Sam Allen, Communications Chair for the IGS, said: “We are always striving to increase the reach and impact of IGS communications, so it’s great to see this audience growth in a vital global platform.
“I’d encourage more members and those interested in the society to interact with our social media channels. If you’re not yet a follower, it’s time for you to join the conversation. And if you are not a member of the IGS, it’s certainly time to join!”
